PEDAGOGICAL APPROACHES IN MEDICAL EDUCATION
The Pedagogical Approaches in Medical Education module is specifically designed for postgraduate learners, including resident physicians and Level II specialist trainees. Its primary objective is to equip learners with essential principles and methodologies for effective teaching and learning in medical education.
This module provides opportunities for participants to engage with both theoretical foundations and practical applications of medical pedagogy. Through this process, learners are expected to enhance their analytical abilities, critical thinking skills, and capacity to apply educational principles in clinical teaching and learning environments.

Module objectives

Explain the characteristics of adult learning and education.

Apply basic concepts and principles of assessment in evaluating theoretical knowledge and clinical skills of medical students.

Apply theoretical foundations of active learning strategies and constructive feedback in teaching knowledge and skills to medical students.

Formulate learning objectives for both theoretical and practical teaching sessions.

Construct multiple-choice questions aligned with the learning objectives of the lecture.
