Module description:

The “Scientific Writing for International Publication” module provides learners with the necessary knowledge and skills to prepare complete scientific manuscripts that adhere to the submission requirements of peer-reviewed international journals. Learners are expected to have prior foundational knowledge and skills in basic research methodology before enrolling in this module.

Module objectives

  • Recognize the importance of publishing scientific reports in peer-reviewed international journals.

  • Explain and carry out the necessary steps to prepare and submit a scientific manuscript to a peer-reviewed international journal.

  • Analyze the key components of a scientific manuscript as required by peer-reviewed international journals, and draft a manuscript that meets the submission requirements of the selected journal.

  • Describe the submission process for scientific articles to peer-reviewed international journals.

  • Strictly adhere to all steps involved in preparing, submitting, and communicating before and after the publication process; demonstrate respect for academic integrity in scientific writing and publishing.
