LEARNING MATERIALS UNIT

The Learning Materials Unit – University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City originated from the Learning Materials Research and Development Unit, which was established in 2008 with technical and financial support from Dutch experts and the Dutch government. Its initial mission was to support skills training in medical schools and faculties across Vietnam. In 2011, the Learning Materials Research and Development Unit was expanded into the Learning Resources Center, under Decision No. 1055/QĐ-ĐHYD-TC dated October 3, 2011, issued by the Rector of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City. The center continued its work in research, production, and maintenance of learning materials to meet the growing demands of skills training units, contributing significantly to the development of medical education and the improvement of healthcare workforce quality. Currently, the Learning Materials Unit operates as a subordinate unit of the Center for Medical Education at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City.
