The official APMEC 2025 conference, held on January 17–18 in Singapore, focused on key themes such as developing holistic healthcare providers, the integration of artificial intelligence in medical education, and essential issues of ethics, diversity, and sustainability in health professions education.
On the first day, plenary discussions revolved around nurturing well-rounded healthcare leaders, notably in the session "Holistic Healthcare Practice and a Sustainable Future: 'Possibility Thinking'" chaired by Prof. Ronald M. The second day centered on the use of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence in medical training, highlighted by the session "The Generative AI Odyssey: Enhancing Capacities in Medical Training." Other parallel sessions, such as "Promoting Well-being for Physicians in Training" and "Redefining Diversity in Health Science Education" addressed comprehensive approaches to support mental well-being and promote diversity within academic environments.
